St. Michaels Winery
On Sunday, August 5th, Greg and company went to St. Michaels Winery on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. The ever popular Gollywobbler White was bottled on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of August and became available again! If you are in St. Michaels congratulate the winery staff on a job well done, their Gollywobbler White won the Bronze medal for the 2007 Governor's Cup for Maryland wines!
This particular area is used for the receiving and pressing of the grapes at the winery. Many wineries call this the 'crush pad' and it is typically a concrete pad that can be hosed down easily.
Stainless steel tanks used for fermentation. Tanks such as these can be found at almost every winery in the State of Maryland.
Bottled just in time for the festival season, this Gollywobbler White is a HUGE hit among festival goers and has been a newly found favorite in our wine shop. Often times customers do not get to see the storage areas of wineries, but after a bottling run almost every winery has pallets everywhere!
